Mumbai court grants bail to Raj Kundra in adult films case, likely to walk out of Jail today
Kundra was arrested on July 19 in the case pertaining to the alleged creation of adult films and publishing them through some apps.

Mumbai, September 21: After spending 2 months in the Jail, the Magistrate court in Mumbai granted bail to Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra in an Adult films case. He was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 with certain conditions.
Along with Kundra, his associate and co-accused Ryan Thrope was also granted bail. Kundra may walk out of jail on Tuesday after completion of all formalities.
Kundra had filed a fresh bail plea last week after the Mumbai Police’s supplementary charge sheet in the case had named him as an accused.
The businessman, in the plea, had claimed there was no evidence of him being "actively" involved in the creation of alleged questionable porn content and that he was being made a "scapegoat" in the case. Further, Kundra’s plea had also stated that other accused, arrested in connection with the case earlier, have been granted bail and therefore his plea should be considered on grounds of parity.
Kundra had also argued in the plea that he was not named in the FIR and his name was dragged into the case by the police. He added that he was not involved in the creation of any “questionable content” and had sought bail also on the grounds of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
Last Thursday, the crime branch filed the first 1,400-page charge sheet in the case against nine people including Raj Kundra. In the voluminous document, the police have said the probe conducted by the property cell of the crime branch has revealed that Kundra was the "main facilitator" in the porn films case.
