Legendary singer and the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to the ICU after being tested positive for the Chinese virus. The veteran singer is 92 has mild mild symptoms.
She was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday morning, reportedly. The niece of the singer, Richa informed about the same and said currently, she is undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. She is being treated by Dr. Prateet Samdani and the team.
The doyen of singing was earlier admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital on November 11, 2019, after she complained of breathlessness.
The 92-year-old singer has recorded songs in more than 1,000 Hindi films in several languages. Lata Mangeshkar is one of the best-known and most respected playback singers in India. In 2001, in recognition of her contributions to the nation, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, and is only the second vocalist, after MS Subbulakshmi, to receive this honour. She is the recipient of three National Film Awards, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and the Bharat Ratna, among other honours.
