Have You Taken Your Insulin Walk ?

Offices have just opened partially in Pune.

So, I happened to go and meet one of my friends, it was around lunch time so he insisted that I should have working lunch with him, which I did.

Life

My work was finished so after Lunch, I thought I will be off.

My friend insisted that there is one more drill of lunch which is pending?

I was surprised.

“This is the drill which you started when you were working in this office and now you, yourself are forgetting “

" It is Insulin walk"

I remembered “Oh, I have forgotten because I have moved out of corporate pressure “, we both gave a hearty laugh.
“Yes, we must complete the drill because I am still under corporate pressure.”

I agreed.

So, we went out for 15 minutes slow walk outside the corporate office and my friend confided with me that his sugar management has improved tremendously because of this walk. This small single habit has changed his life. He informed me that at least half of the corporate office, especially the senior age group is going for post lunch slow insulin walk and this has happened after you quit this job.

So, people still remember me.

“Oh Yes, for this insulin walk.”

I felt so happy.

Diabetes is such a big problem in our country and if some minor step can help people in better sugar management, it is a big help. There are definite unintended positive consequences also. Bonding increases along with social capital of company.

So, my question is…” What are the good habits or drills you are inculcating in your peer group?”
Leave a positive health legacy behind, people will remember you the way they remembered me. Rest assured, this legacy will come back to you with positive vibes as it came to me.

Life is the sum of positive legacies you leave behind. Am I sounding too philosophical?
