All these families hail from Majjaputtu Village which is located in Peda Bayulu District in the newly created Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh. They returned to Sanatan Dharma after performing Havan worship according to Hindu rituals. The families who returned to Hinduism raised the slogans of Lord Shri Ram.

As per the information, this village has about 287 Families. Out of these people, about 144 families are converted to Christianity. They have also converted one of the 8 prayer halls into Hindu Mandir.

These families were converted to Christianity owing to their poor economic and social status The missionaries had lured them to convert under the pretext of financial support and better social life.

This development comes amid when Ghar Wapsi initiative is gaining momentum across the nation. Last year on November 28, 23 persons from five Christian families in Karwar’s Haliyal taluk converted to Hinduism. Anant Kumar Hegde, MP for Uttara Kannada, presided over the occasion.
