Why all Indian Mom Bloggers promoted X-mas on their social media?

Influencers have a big responsibility on their head, especially women who are in the mom blogging and mom-influencing industry. This industry has blown up in the last few years. And the content from these mom influencers is reaching millions of people. So we can imagine how important it is to know what sort of content has to be there on social media because eventually, this content is going to influence other moms, parents, and of course next generation. However, it is the holiday season and we have seen so many mom bloggers/influencers promoting Christmas on a large level. Well, there is nothing wrong with it, but this kind of excitement is missing when it comes to Indian Festivals, and ultimately it is teaching our kids that X-Mas is also an Indian Festival which is technically not.

Xmas

There is no harm in celebrating global festivals, however, we need to teach our kids the importance of Indian festivals, customs, and traditions. Santa Claus, Xmas trees, and Christmas are not something that we have celebrated as Indians, it is good to know about these things, but making it a part of our family culture is something that will keep our children away from our own traditions.

So many mom influencers talked about how their kids write a letter to Santa, and asking their favorite toys as a gift, while children are singing the Jingle bell and other Christmas songs. This is the convent culture, which normalizes the fact for the next generation that Christianity is a part of our culture and they will easily accept other things like conversion. I know I went too far, but starting happens from normalizing the fact that these are “OUR” customs and our culture.

Xmas

Some mom influencers talked about the cake that they prepared for Christmas, and how they decorated their homes. It is still okay for the people who are living abroad and living in western culture as they are a part of the other’s customs and culture. So their kids will anyway get exposed to the western culture, still keeping our culture alive in them is the moral responsibility of parents. These mom bloggers/influencers are surely doing a great job and they also post about Indian Culture and Festivals, however normalizing western culture as ours can harm our coming generations as we ourselves are not aware of this fact.

How do you feel about this? Should we accept this western concept as ours or should we stand against it or do not make it part of our household things? Let us know in the comments below.
