As BJP secured wins in 20 seats, it reached the half-way mark in the 40-member Goa Assembly.

BJP candidate Atanasio Monserrate & his wife Jeniffer Monserrate have won from Panaji and Taleigao constituencies respectively. BJP's Vishwajit Rane and his wife Deviya Vishwajit Rane won from Valpoi & Poriem Assembly constituency.

People have given us majority, Independents and MGP also with us: Fadnavis - As the BJP secured wins in 5 seats and leads in 15 seats in Goa, BJP Devendra Fadnavis said that the people have given them "a clear majority".
 
He said, "We will get 20 seats or even 1-2 seats more. People have shown faith in PM Modi. Independent candidates are coming with us. MGP is also coming with us and taking all together, we will form our government."
