As BJP secured wins in 20 seats, it reached the half-way mark in the 40-member Goa Assembly.

BJP candidate Atanasio Monserrate & his wife Jeniffer Monserrate have won from Panaji and Taleigao constituencies respectively. BJP's Vishwajit Rane and his wife Deviya Vishwajit Rane won from Valpoi & Poriem Assembly constituency.

People have given us majority, Independents and MGP also with us: Fadnavis - As the BJP secured wins in 5 seats and leads in 15 seats in Goa, BJP Devendra Fadnavis said that the people have given them "a clear majority".
 

He said, "We will get 20 seats or even 1-2 seats more. People have shown faith in PM Modi. Independent candidates are coming with us. MGP is also coming with us and taking all together, we will form our government."

BJP's Atanasio Monserrate leads in Panaji, Utpal Parikar accepts defeat - In Panaji, BJP candidate Atanasia Monserrate was leading. Meanwhile, Utpal Parikar accepted defeat saying that as an Independent candidate, it was a good fight, I thank the people. Satisfied with the fight but, result is little disappointing.
