Conversion in exchange for treatment? Christian missionary hospital offers treatment with conditions of conversion

In a shocking development, Tamil Nadu's Christian Missionary Hospital in Vellore has asked a Hindu family from Karnataka to convert into Christianity in exchange of free treatment for their three-year-old son, who is suffering from Thalassemia.

Due to poor financial condition, Iranna Nagur, who is an employee of a Dhaba (hotel) was struggling to provide proper medical treatment to his only son. He has already spent over Rs 3 lakh for the treatment of his son.
 
At the time when he visited Vellore in search of better medical treatment for his ailing son, a hospital in Vellore of Tamil Nadu run by a Christian Missionary reportedly offered help including Rs 10 lakh for the bone marrow surgery of their son, however with the condition of offering daily prayers at church. They also asked them to convert to Christianity.
 
 
 
Due to the helpless situation, the family was determined to accept Jesus to treat their child. However, BLDE Association in the Bijapur district in Karnataka came to Iranna’s rescue. They prevented Iranna and his family from converting to Christianity by providing free treatment to their son. The family has now dropped the plans of converting to Christianity.
