Shops belonging to accused in Khambhat stone-pelting, demolished

With proper police protection and bulldozers, officials demolished the shops opposite to the dargah; police also arrested 11 accused in the case, including Maulvi, for conspiracy and for the attack on the Ram Navami Yatra.

Khambhat, April 15: The Gujarat government justly brought out a bulldozer to serve those who broke the law to create unrest in society. This was related to the clash that broke out during the Ram Navami procession in Khambhat, Gujarat.

The local administration destroyed all shops near the dargah in Khambhat where the stone-pelting incident took place. Police alleged that the Khambhat riots were completely planned, and the main accused, Maulvi, planned the conspiracy inside the Dargah itself.
 
 
With proper police protection and bulldozers, officials razed the shops opposite to the dargah. Earlier, police arrested 11 accused in the case, including Maulvi, for conspiracy and for the attack on the Ram Navami Yatra.

Police have said that there was involvement of a foreign hand as well, as the accused were in touch with such people. A special investigation team has been formed to investigate the case.

A clash broke out during the Ram Navami procession in Khambhat on Sunday, April 10, in which one person was killed and another was injured. A few shops too, were set on fire. The police had to use tear gas to bring the situation under control.
