Kishor also confirmed that he declined to join Congress and become a part of the Empowered Action Group. He opined that the outfit needs leadership and collective will to fix the problems.

"I declined the generous offer of #congress to join the party as part of the EAG & take responsibility for the elections. In my humble opinion, more than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep rooted structural problems through transformational reforms," Kishor tweeted.

Notably, Kishor had several meetings with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Rashtra Samithi and soon after Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) signed a deal with the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC). Kishor is the founding member of I-PAC.
