Viral Video: Maha minister Abdul Sattar abuses Lord Hanuman; Nitesh Rane demands action

Amid the ongoing Hanuman Chalisa row, a controversial video of Maharashtra Minister and Shvsena leader, Abdul Sattar, where he is seen abusing the lord Hanuman and using cuss words for Hanuman Chalisa, has gone viral on social media. The video also shows Abdul Sattar using offensive language in the presence of police.

The video came to light after the BJP leader, Nitesh Rane, shared it on social media. Sharing the video, Rane targeted Uddhav Thackeray and asked him to arrest Sattar for hurting the sentiments of Hindus by abusing the Hindu gods. Some local media houses reported that the video was old.
 
 
 
Soon after posting the video, it went viral on social media platforms. According to some inputs, this video is from Satara district, where Sattar was caught on camera abusing Hanuman Chalisa.
 
In the video, the minister reportedly uses slang words against Lord Hanuman and also abuses local people, who seem to have assembled at a spot in support of Hanuman Chalisa's‘ recital in public’.

Abdul Sattar is a three-time MLA from the Sillod constituency. He also served as a minister in the Congress govt but switched to Shiv Sena in 2019. He was the one who signed a letter to the President of India seeking mercy for 1993 serial blasts conspirator Yakub Menon.
