On Saturday night, thousands of Muslims gathered at NY's iconic Times Square and offered 'Taraweeh' prayers to mark the beginning of Ramadan. This causes blocking of the road to the busy Times Square. Videos of the incident have gone viral on the social media platform.
After the prayers, the organiser of the mass prayer had distributed over 1,500 to those who attended the event from across the US.
