Toronto Police informed that Kartik Vasudev was shot at the Glen Road entrance of Sherbourne Subway Station and had received medical attention by an off-duty paramedic. "The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," the police said in a statement.

Jitesh Vasudev, his father, said, “We last spoke to Kartik on Thursday and he told us he was heading to work. He was a student but worked part-time at a Mexican restaurant.
