Chitale, 29, was arrested on May 15 over a post she allegedly shared on her Facebook page. The post shared by Chitale, was written in verse, purportedly by someone else. It contained objectionable phrases like "hell is waiting" and "you hate Brahmins", in an alleged reference to Pawar.

In the meantime, in the other case registered against Chitale under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the prosecution took some more time to file a reply to Chitale's bail application.
