Nepal Cabinet reshuffle! Newly appointed ministers to sworn in today

Kathmandu, Jun 27: Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba replaced four ministers of the cabinet in the latest round of cabinet reorganization, said the Nepal President's office on Jun 26 (Sunday). These newly inducted ministers will sworn in today (Jun 27) by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba made changes in the existing cabinet on the recommendations of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal - Unified Socialist. However, two hours before the concerned announcement of the cabinet reshuffle by the President's office, two members from the party had announced their resignation.

According to the statement of President of Nepal's office, "President Bhandari appointed four ministers and one state minister and assigned them with their portfolios at the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba as per the Articles 76 (1) and 78 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal." As per the updated list of ministers, Jeevan Ram Shrestha has been appointed as the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Leader and Member of Parliament from CPN - Unified Socialist, Metmani Chaudhary has been appointed as the Minister of Urban Development, and will be succeeding Ram Kumari Jhakri, who had earlier announced her resignation.

Sher Bahadur Kunwar has been appointed as Minister for Labour Employment and Social Security while Bhawani Khapung has been appointed Minister for Health and Population and Hira KC as Minister of State for Health and Population. These newly inducted ministers will sworn in today (Jun 27) by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
