Mangalore, July 02: A madrasa student who earlier claimed that another community people had beaten him and ripped his kurta in Mangalore, Karnataka, has now flipped from his bogus narrative during the police interrogation.
It should be noted that, on 29 June, a 13-year-old boy, who studies in grade 8 at a Madrasa was allegedly accosted and assaulted by two unknown persons. He said that on his way back, two individuals approached him from behind and shoved him. They then fled the scene after ripping his clothes (charges have now been proven erroneous).
However, the truth came out when, police checked CCTV camera footage to verify the boy's statement. Following this, when the police called the kid for interrogation, he revealed the truth.
According to the reports, the kid had ripped his shirt with a pen in order to give the impression that he had been beaten. He made up a bogus narrative owing to a lack of sufficient attention at home and school.
Mangalore Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar gave the confirmation about the news. He informed that Police will now re-record his statement in front of the Child Welfare Committee and doctors.
