Now, in the latest development, a Hindu family from Sanghar, Sindh, was attacked on Sunday evening by almost a dozen men over a petty squabble. This has resulted in backlash on social media with netizens demanding justice for the victims.

This came after Pakistan People's Party politician and his goons attacked Ajeet Kumar's family on its way to a pilgrimage to Daherji in Pakistan’s Ghotki. Reports suggest that he is Pitafi tribe leader who got his goons to come and attack the Hindu family which included three women and two kids. They broke the car glasses and harassed the family because a wrapper of ice cream flew and fell on his car. The goons came and started beating them without any reason.

Kumar was returning from Raharki Sahib, a temple in the area, and crossed the vehicle of Pakistan People's Party politician, Dr Shamsher Pitafi. Kumar tried to ask for a side to overtake but was repeatedly denied, reports say. When the family did overtake, Pitafi got angry and followed them and got them attacked. Sindh Police have reportedly assured that attackers will be arrested.

Pitafi is a relative of a Pakistani politician. He is a cousin of Sindh Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Abdul Bari Pitafi. However, Kumar was advised not to file an FIR by local Hindu leaders. Reports also suggest Pitafi was not arrested because of political pressure.
