In Dahi Handi, enactment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj killing Afzal Khan goes viral!

Dahi Handi was celebrated after a two-year Covid hiatus that witnessed huge numbers of Govindas specifically in Mumbai. Several Pathaks who were practicing for a long time for Dahi Handi on the occasion of Lord Shri Janmanshtami could be seen enjoying with enthusiasm.

 

There were many Pathaks who were prepared for this moment with some unique flavor this time. In one such instance, there was one enactment where one donned the role of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj killing Afzal Khan played by the other. This was performed on the third layer of the pyramid.
