Mithali Raj's making entry into politics? JP Nadda meets Mithali Raj in Hyderabad

A round of speculation pointing out former Indian Cricket Team Captain Mithali Raj's possible entry into politics has been making the rounds on social media. This speculation was sparked after BJP President JP Nadda met former Indian Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj in Hyderabad on Saturday.

 

 

 

This meeting came at a time when the party is looking to woo celebrities into its fold with the aim of expanding its base in Telugu states. Nadda met Mithali at the Novotel Hotel near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad at noon, while the meeting with actor Nithin was scheduled in the evening.

 

 

 

This meeting with the two celebs comes less than a week after Amit Shah met popular actor Jr NTR at the same hotel.

 

Mithali Dorai Raj is an Indian cricketer. As a right-handed batter, she played for India between 1999 and 2022. She captained India between 2004 and 2022. Mithali Raj, one of the all-time greats, retired from international cricket in June. Mithali is the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket and is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Mithali holds numerous records in international cricket. She is the only female cricketer to surpass the 7,000 run mark in Women's One Day International matches.
