The flags were however later removed by unknown persons. There has been no activity at the Hurriyat office in Srinagar since August 5, 2019 as most of the separatist leaders and activists are in jail. The chairman of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is under house detention since three years.
