Bharath in the 'Amrit Period' of Azadi

09 Aug 2022 09:56:12
After 75 years of independent India, it has withstood many tides like an emergency, sleepless Kashmir, weak foreign policy, corruption, nepotism, and disruption of the spirit of unity, and today it is in the process of emerging as a strong economic power on the world map with strong technology, welfare, and development. In this journey, it is necessary to analyze the facts with unbiased evidence on the criticisms that have come on the effects of many developments in the country after 2014. This analysis should be done in social, economic and political dimensions on the basis of telugu proverb that "Desamamte Matti Kaadoyi, Desamante Manushuloyi", which means Country is not just soil and country is the people.

The changes in Indian politics after 2014 and the impact on national and international social and economic systems need to be analyzed in two parts. Especially the decisions taken by Narendra Modi as Prime Minister between 2014 and 2019 such as Swacha Bharat, Samagra Siksha Abhiyan - Beti Padao-Beti Bachao, Housing for the deserving poor, Ayushman Bharat for medical treatment of the poor, assistance to 80 crores poor under the National Food Security Act, Training for Skill development of the youth, old age pension made a big effort to provide "Social Security" to the people living below the poverty line in the country through various schemes with the Spirit of Antyodaya. Priority had given for the integrated development of rural India, like increasing the quality standards of Urea supplied to farmers by neem coating, procurement of grains at minimum support price to farmers, loss compensation to farmers through Fasal Bhima Yojana, minimum working days implemented under MNREGA, Roads provided under Gramin Sadak Yojana, etc. Narendra Modi has given priority to the country's "Rural Development" through the implementation of other schemes in Development oriented mechanism.

*Bharath in the 'Amrit Period' of Azadi.

Those who ruled the country in the past, those who spewed poison on Narendra Modi with jealousy, envy, and hatred and criticized the BJP in principle shall make their comments after examining the welfare schemes implemented for the poor under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with better quality than before, those who say "Socialism" is the good that is being done to the deserving poor shall reconcile the fact. Prime Minister Narendra Modi trusts "Humanism" that meets the minimum needs of the poor with dignity and self-respect, without lecturing just about Communism, Capitalism, or Socialism to the people with hungry stomachs, unable to get a sip of water to drink for their dry throat, to the miserable condition of having no proper clothes to wear, to the tired life without a home to live in, to the people who are struggling to support their family or to no work to support their family. Hence, Narendra Modi Humanism stands for "Antyodaya", which means all Welfare programs shall be at the doorsteps of the eligible beneficiaries at the last corner of the Nation. Narendra Modi is taking steps with the determination to prioritize measures to ensure that government welfare schemes reach the deserving end of the pile without leakage.

Trust in the fundamental principle that welfare and development of the country are two-fold, Narendra Modi focused on building Social and Industrial infrastructure, especially through the “Sagaramala” Project consists of 802 projects at a cost of Rs. 5.48 lakh crores focusing on Sea, Air, Rail and Road connectivity for coastal based industrial uses and plans for the development of the tourism sector across the coastal area in the country since 2019, including projects worth 2.12 lakh crores, are expected to be completed by 2024. Apart from this, the target of completing 34,800 kilometers of national highways by 2027 at a cost of Rs. 10.63 lakh crore as the first phase of the Bharatmala project will be accelerated the growth, of which 7,375 km have been completed already by December 2022. Integrating all these projects through the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana with Rs 111 lakh Crore is expected to increase the country's GDP by 4% to 5%, thereby providing better infrastructure to the people, increasing industrial growth, increasing employment opportunities, controlling unemployment rate, raise in direct and indirect taxes collections to the government. India is going to emerge as a 5 Trillion Dollar Economy for contributing to the economic stability of the country by achieving fastest growth in the coming years.

The Finance Ministry has announced several reforms to support the Automobile, Textile Industry, and NBFC sectors to withstand the impact of the global economic slowdown after 2019. Also, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the 100 Lakh Crore National Infrastructure Pipeline Plan in the Budget for the Financial Year 2019- 20. In the meantime, it is a matter of fact that India has not been an exception in the last quarter of the financial year 2019-20 and thereafter impact of the Corona Lockdown existed on the global economy in the financial year 2020-21.

Although the effects are still visible, due to the impact of the 21 lakh crore Atmanirbharth (self-reliant) Bharath package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government the country's economy has been on track and a growing positively today, international agencies predict that India will achieve the highest growth rate in the world in the financial year 2022-23 registering around 7.5%. But the main reason for being able to divert the efforts of the Union Government by some persons by spreading negative predictions and undermine the morale of the people, many criticisms have been made intentionally and they are still going ahead. In this process, it has become common to sing the same song as in the past against Narendra Modi without a positive outlook on the Nation.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated all necessary measures to increase the revenue resources of the country while continuing the reforms implemented in the economy for the last 30 years by correcting the mistakes and making necessary amendments wherever required. For that, key decisions such as Startup India, Digital India, Disinvestment, Demonetization and GST have been brought in to the system though still facing a lot of Political criticism, and the real results are only now being revealed that Bharath stands top in the world in Digital Transactions and there is huge growth in Income Tax returns have been filed after Demonetization.

Despite all odds against the Economy due to Corona Lockdown, the Economic slowdown of various countries in the world, Brexit, the Impact of Oil prices fluctuations in the International markets, US and EU Sanctions against Russia's war with Ukraine, and now China's war with Taiwan, Political opponents of BJP that who have been facing corruption cases now and occupied the position as the Central Finance Ministers in the past, those who are unstable and aspired for ministerial posts, the negative predictions of the Left-wing masked economic intellectuals and labeled as experts are continuously making propaganda for 8 years, But their predictions and assessments have been failed and Bharath stands safe and strong when compared other developed countries since tamely coercive actions by the Union Government and RBI. With relentless efforts of the present Union Government, Bharath stands as the 5th largest economy in the world with 3 trillion dollars, and it is auspicious to leap ahead of Germany in the near future. On the other hand, our country has ranked 3rd in the world in terms of Purchasing Power in terms of Nominal GDP. Despite the good results achieved post-2014, the challenge facing our country now is to increase per capita GDP and purchasing power, the effective implementation Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana mitigate these challenges in the next few years.

The secret of "Chidambara Rahasya" has been revealed in the analysis of some statistics. Especially in the current fiscal year 2022-23, the Budgeted fiscal deficit is estimated at 6.4% i.e. Rs. 16,61,196 crores, but the first quarter (April-June) fiscal deficit has registered for Rs. 3,51,871 crores only. In these circumstances, It is meaningless to say by former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram that the Central Government has shown low income and expenditure, and it is doubtful that he has worked as the finance minister of this country without knowing how to compensate the fiscal deficit.

For those who are wondering whether the central government can manage the fiscal deficit at 6.4% for the Current Financial Year, the answer may be better-than-expected for GST and Direct Taxes Collections for the first quarter of the current financial year, as far as GST collections are concerned, April: 1,67,540 crores, May: 1,40,855 crores, June : 1,44,616 crores and July: 1,48,995 crores which is an average growth of 55% over last year for the same period. Similarly, there is 45% growth in the Direct Taxes Collection for Rs. 3,39,225 Crores in first quarter of this year as compared is the most favourable factor to control the Fiscal Deficit as estimated.
As per the criticism of Former Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram by comparing the Current Account Deficit of the previous year 2021-22 for Rs. 3000 crores with the current year 2022-23 estimate of Rs. 10,000 crores and questioning why the Current Account Deficit estimates abnormally increased.

But, What is the impact, if we forget the corresponding impact of the increased oil prices in the International markets due to Russia's war with Ukraine? , What was the International trade last year? And How much will be there for this year? My question is Whether P. Chidambaram had taken this information into his consideration before comment the abnormal increase in the Current Account Deficit. It is clear that there is an attempt to insert political comments into economic affairs without considering the true factors. Even with such negative international trade pressure, the current foreign exchange reserves of USD 573.875 billion available with the country are favorable.

It is not at all good for anyone to try to impose an impression on the government that it controls the RBI on the interest rates to control inflation as such decisions are not related to the government, it is a fact that there is no economic recession in India because the RBI took the right decisions at the right time and today fundamentals of our economy are stronger than many developed countries. Some former finance ministers who wanted GST in the past when they were in Government, But today they are making unnecessary criticism, my appeal is that the current GST rates on various items do they have to compare the percentage of VAT and CST when they were ministers in the past?

Then What is the "Chidambaram’s secret" about the circumstances in which the central government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has to pay about One Lakh Crores including interest and installment until now if they give petro bonds instead of the subsidy to be paid to the companies on petrol and diesel before 2014? That is, before 2014, the subsidy was to be paid to the companies on petrol and diesel, while today the central government is paying it. But, these opposition elders question and makes propaganda against the Narendra Modi-led Union Government and they should answer that What is the length of National Highways and Railway lines before 2014? and What is the length now? Can these critics sum it up?

On the one hand, Narendra Modi without forgetting the ideological corners, the abrogation of Article 35A to scrap Article 370, CAA, Triple Talaq, and the Construction of Ayodhya Sri Ram Temple within the jurisdiction of the court were successful. On the other hand, if we look at the development and welfare schemes that are being implemented in the country today when Narendra Modi came to power at the center, he made a specific plan suitable for the time and implemented it with the nationalistic spirit of "Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab Ka Vishwas, Sab Ka Prayas" and it seems that India is in the "Amruth Kaal of Azadi" which means for the better future of the Bharath as aspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
