The incident took place when the members parliament bid farewell to Venkaiah Naidu. At that time, while making his valedictory remark to Naidu, Chadha drew an analogy with first love, and also recalled memorable experiences with him.

Chadha said a person never forgets their first experience, be it the first day of school, first school principal, first teacher, or first love.

Chadha said, “A person remembers his first experience. The first day of school, first school principal, first teacher.
First love. I will always remember you as my first Chairman.” ”You taught me an important lesson on punctuality on the day I took oath as Rajya Sabha MP. I was 8 to 10 minutes late, and you taught me the importance of being on time,” he further said.

Naidu, who was seen keenly listening to Chadha's farewell speech, playfully picked at Chadha's 'first love' remark and hoped it to be true.

You love only once),” Naidu, all smiles, asked Chadha in Hindi.

To which, Chadha said, “Sir, I don't have so much experience, but it is good”

Naidu then said, “Pehla pyaar acha hota hai, wahi pyaar humesha rehna hai, zindagi bhar (First love is good, it should remain forever).”
