Security breach at PM Modi's Karnataka roadshow: Man tries to garland him in Hubballi

A security breach occurred during Prime Minister Narendra Mod's roadshow in Karnataka's Hubballi on Thursday evening. A man, who jumped over the barricades, was taken away by security personnel after he tried to garland Prime Minister Modi.
The unidentified man reached the Prime Minister, who was waving at the crowd from his vehicle, and tried to garland him. However, he was quickly taken away by the security personnel guarding the Prime Minister.
A statement by the Hubballi police on the incident is expected to be released soon. The Prime Minister was in Hubballi on Thursday to inaugurate the National Youth Festival. The event is being held on National Youth Day which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda to honour his ideals, teachings and contributions.
"Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubbali at around 4 pm," a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office said on Wednesday.
