WATCH | Sukhoi-30, Mirage 2000 aircraft crashed near MP's Morena, wreckage found

Morena, Jan 28: Two Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft crashed in the Pahadgarh area of Morena in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. Reports suggest a Sukhoi-30 and Mirage 2000 aircraft were involved in the crash.

Morena additional superintendent of police Rai Singh Narwariya said, "An air force team is reaching the spot to confirm about the plane and number of people present in it. Police found a hand near the plane."

 

 

The two aircraft had taken off from the Gwalior air base in Madhya Pradesh where an exercise was going on.

 

The IAF court of inquiry to establish whether there was a mid-air collision or not. The Su-30 had two pilots, while Mirage 2000 had one pilot during the crash.

 

"The Su-30 had two pilots while Mirage 2000 had one during the crash. Initial reports suggest two pilots are safe. An Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper is on its way to the location of the third pilot," the sources added.
