New Delhi, Oct 12: After Congress took the stand for Palestine, several leftists including Prashant Bhushan and CPI leader Annie Raja, gathered to meet with the Ambassador of Palestine to India Adnan Abu Alhaija, "demonstrating their unwavering solidarity with Palestine".
Apart from Prashant Bhushan & Annie Raja, Nadeem Khan, Apoorvanand and several others were present at the meeting. They met the Palestine Ambassador and assured them that people are with Palestine.

This event has once again brought to the forefront the Left's consistent stance in supporting the Palestinian people.
This also comes a day after PM Modi spoke to Israeli PM Netanyahu on the phone and assured India's support against Hamas terrorism.
Notably, Congress had also passed a resolution in support of Palestine in the Congress Working Committee meeting. The resolution said that the Congress Working Committee reiterates its support for the rights of the Palestinian people to land, self-governance, self-respect and life. The Congress resolution comes amid Israel's counter-offensive against Hamas.
Congress had earlier condemned the 'brutal attack' on Israel by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
