According to the Indian Army, a squad from the 3/5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force) represented the Indian Army at the famous Cambrian Patrol Exercise in Wales, UK. The Indian Army squad played against 111 other teams, including 38 overseas teams from special forces and prominent regiments from across the world.
 
The UK Army's Exercise Cambrian Patrol is considered the ultimate test of human endurance and team spirit, and is frequently referred to as the Olympics of Military Patrolling among militaries throughout the world, according to a previous Defence Ministry statement.
