NB Scan X| "Stop spreading hatred": Israeli diplomat calls out 'fact-checker' Mohd Zubair for spreading fake news

New Delhi, Oct 17: In a significant development, an Israeli diplomat slammed AltNews co-founder and controversial 'fact-checker' Mohammed Zubair for spreading "fake news" and "hatred" about the Jewish nation.

 

Israel's consul general in India Kobbi Shoshani took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to call out Zubair and asked him to go to Israel to do 'fact-checking'. "Mr. Zubair, Stop spreading fake news & hatred about Israel," Shoshani wrote on X.

 

He also suggested that if he really does consider himself a ‘fact-checker’ he should go to Israel instead. This tweet by Shoshani came after days of pro-Hamas narrative peddling by Mohd Zubair following the terror attack on Israel by the Islamist group.

This also comes as an American investigative journalist Amy Mek has also alleged that Zubair has been attempting to smear her and other conservatives for exposing Hamas' propaganda.

 

In her tweet, Mek said, "There seems to be a Jihadi named Mohammad Zubair who operates a left-wing disinformation site called Alt News. He is attempting to smear me and other conservatives for exposing Hamas’ propaganda. Is this the same antisemitic/hinduphobic individual who targeted Nupur Sharma and endangered her life?"

 

She further added, "I also heard that he was arrested in India and seems to be a dangerous individual who encourages his followers to harass people. Is it true that he has received money from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF), which supports anti-India elements operating within India? Is it true that he has doxxed people as well? Can you share more information about him – thanks for your help!"

 

 

Likewise, Zubair has whitewashed the brutality unleashed by Hamas of burning and beheading the Jews, including children alive after infiltrating the country and carrying out indiscriminate firing.

 

For e.g. when Hamas terrorists beheaded 40 babies, Zubair had statedit was fake news. So much that the narrative started building around it to water down the horrifying attack by Hamas.
