New Delhi, Oct 2: The Indian Air Force has refuted claims of Sikh personnel refusing to perform their duties as they have faced insults from Hindu seniors on a regular basis.
Refuting such allegations, the IAF posted with a caption, “#FakeNewsAlert #Beware The information is not true and has been posted to spread rumours.” It shared an image that claimed, “A source from inside the Indian Air Force claims that majority of Sikh pilots and personnel are refusing to perform their duties because of their Hindu senior insulting them on regular basis.”
The post went viral after an X account named Defence Outpost shared this claim on the social media giant. It had garnered more than 50,000 views with hundreds of likes, comments and reposts.
Further, it even claimed, "He further told that at one occasion, a sikh mess waiter at IAF station Jaisalmer was brutally beaten by some Hindu officers for not serving them on time.
This account has a history of running an agenda against India and Indian security forces.
Such allegations run by anti-India elements are being circulated with the aim of spreading fake news about Indian defence forces to set their propaganda against India.
Several netizens have called out the IAF to take legal action against such propaganda.
