Following orders? Communist Kerala wakes up to serial blast in Jehovah's Witnesses after Hamas leader's provocative speech

The first explosion took place around 9 am and multiple blasts followed thereafter, over the next one hour. More than 2,000 people were attending the prayer meeting when the blasts took place.

Just day after the Khaled Mashal, the former leader of the Hamas militant group, instigate people against the Hindu's and Judaism, now serial blast took place at a prayer meeting in Jehovah's Witnesses in the Kalamassery area of Kerala's Kochi on Sunday morning.

As per the reports one person died and 20 more were injured in the blast. People who were present at the convention centre told media that the first blast occurred in the middle of a prayer.An officer of Kalamassery police said the cause of the blast or whether there was more than one was not confirmed.

State Industries Minister P Rajeev said the blast site is cordoned off and police and fire rescue have been pressed into service. Rajeev said that reportedly few of the injured have suffered serious burns.



He said that all medical aid and facilities are available at the Kalamassery Medical College and if required, the injured can be shifted to other hospitals.The minster said that information about the nature of the blast or if anyone was behind it was not known presently.Kerala Health Minister Veena George urged government healthcare professionals to report for duty in the wake of the blast.
 
The three-day meeting, which commenced on October 27, concluded on Sunday.According to officials, more than 2,000 people were attending the prayer meeting when the blasts took place.
 
The incident occurred one day after Khaled Mashal, the former leader of the Hamas militant group, delivered a virtual address at a pro-Palestine protest during the Israeli military offensive in Gaza.
