Sam Bahadur TRAILER OUT! Vicky Kaushal's eyes dive into the pride, discipline & patriotism of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw

From his typical walking style to his distinctive handlebar moustache, Vicky Kaushal has stolen the show as India’s greatest soldier Sam Manekshaw. The makers of the highly-anticipated biopic Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar, has released its official trailer.

Vicky shared the video on Instagram and wrote, "To the Indian army, to the nation and its people, we present to you a glimpse into the life of India’s Greatest Soldier, Sam Manekshaw. #SamBahadur Trailer Out Now (sic)."
 
The trailer has several powerful dialogues which shows Sam's role in shaping the Indian Army post independence. The film is set in the late 1960s and early '70s.
 
In the trailer, the entire clip where Manekshaw's dedication to the Indian Army and to serve his country has been highlighted. The way Vicky has tried to imitate Sam Maneskshaw's speaking style is just commendable and the movie is surely expected to be a hit.

The period film stars Vicky as Sam Manekshaw, the charismatic war hero, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Sam Bahadur also features Sanya Malhotra as Silloo, Sam's wife. The movie will hit the theatres on December 1. It will clash with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal.' The film marks the second collaboration between Meghna and Vicky after the blockbuster 'Raazi.'
 
Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Manekshaw played a crucial role in the Indian victory when it went to war with Pakistan in 1971. The war led to the creation of Bangladesh.
