While visiting the Pune Book Festival, the BJP leader went to various book stalls. He took time to interact with various stall owners as well as young students, acknowledging their efforts in promoting literature and education.

Expressing his admiration for the event, Bawankule hailed the Pune Book Festival as a one-of-its-kind experience, highlighting its unique and vibrant atmosphere. He remarked, "Throughout my entire life, I have never witnessed a book fair organized on such an extensive scale."

The BJP president also praised the organizers and Rajesh Pande, co-ordinator of Pune Book Festival for organizing an event that not only showcased diverse literary works but also encouraged discussions and interactions among book readers.

 
 

Four Guinness World Records at Pune Book Festival


1. Last week, a new Guinness World Record the for Pune Book Festival at Fergusson College as the event witnessed the creation of the inspiring phrase "Jayatu Bharat," skillfully crafted with the collaborative effort of an astounding 18,000 books.

2. Last Friday, there was an arrangement of a staggering 7,500 books to form the iconic word "Bharat", surpassing Saudi Arabia's previous record.

3. On last Thursday, Pune hosted the largest reading activity in collaboration, beating out China. A total of 3,066 parents gathered to read aloud to their children, creating a magical atmosphere and etching their names in history. The previous record, held by China, stood at 2,884 simultaneous readers.
 
4. Punekars beat China to script the fourth Guinness World record for the largest online video album of people reading aloud with 11,043 videos on Thursday at India's Largest book fair in Fergusson College, Pune.

About Pune Book Festival


Pune Book Festival is holding the event starting December 16 to 24 at the Fergusson College Grounds. The festival consists an extensive collection of books in multiple languages including Marathi, Hindi, English, Gujarati, Kannada, among others.

Alongside literary sessions, there are dedicated sections for children and youth, talent showcases, cultural performances, and more. With an expected turnout of over five lakh visitors, the festival will host an array of 200 book stalls, catering to diverse reading interests.
