Karachi, Dec 6: In a huge development, another topmost wanted terrorist of India was killed in Pakistan. Adnan Ahmed alias Hanzla Adnan, a key terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was killed by unknown assailants in Karachi, Pakistan His death is being considered a big blow for LeT chief Hafiz Saeed.
This development is considered a major blow to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Notably, several leaders of this terror organisation have been killed in recent times in Pakistan.
On the night of 2-3 December, Adnan was shot dead by unknown assailants by firing 4 bullets amid tight security. According to reports, Adnan Ahmed was shot outside his safe house. He was secretly admitted to a hospital in Karachi by the Pakistani Army but he succumbed to injuries on 5 December.
Who is Hanzla Adnan?
It is pertinent to mention that Adnan was the mastermind behind the terror attack on CRPF convoy in Pampore in 2016. 8 Indian Army soldiers were martyred in this attack, while 22 soldiers were injured.
Moreover, he had also organized an attack on the BSF convoy in Udhampur, Jammu in the year 2015 in which 2 BSF soldiers were while 13 BSF soldiers were injured. This attack was investigated by the NIA and a charge sheet was filed on 6 August 2015. In both these attacks, Pakistan was providing shelter to Adnan in the country and giving instructions to the terrorists.
He also played a big role in carrying out the suicide attacks in Srinagar and Pulwama areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He was sent to the Lashkar camp in POK to mislead the newly recruited terrorists, especially those terrorists who were about to infiltrate into India and carry out terrorist attacks. He was also called as Lashkar communication expert. He had also recently shifted its operation base from Rawalpindi to Karachi.
