Recently, actress Sonali Kulkarni attended an event where she has spoken about women not bearing responsibilities and how they put pressure on men. She has called "several women" of India, lazy who want their boyfriends/would-be husbands to have a good job, house, and salary but they don't want to do anything.
"In India, there are numerous women who are lazy. They just want a husband or boyfriend who will have a good job, a house, and a guaranteed salary increase. But that girl does not have the guts to say to a boy what I will do when you marry me."
Further, Sonali Kulkarni said, "I just want to appeal to all to raise a girl who can learn how to become financially independent. One of my friends who wanted to get married had conditions who can earn more than Rs 50,000; who lives alone and has a four wheeler. I was like "Have you come to the mall"? Do you want a person or offers? It is so humiliating."
"And we kind of put a pressure on boys who turns 18 years old. They have pressure to earn to support their family. And I feel like crying for my brothers and my husband. He got selected from a campus interview and started to earn at the age of 20. At the same time, girls when they turn 25-27 years old, start to think and put pressure on boys. And say I don't want honeymoon in India, want in foreign countries. They (Girls) want boys to bear the expenses of pre-wedding shoots, destination weddings. etc. Why?," Sonali Kulkarni added.
"If you (girls) want this kind of luxurious life what you will do? This demanding nature is growing a lot. You need to understand the situation with equality. Paying the bills is not just your husband's problem," the actress said.
