On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, their website (https://www.orra.co.in), and Instagram page have posted banners/posts showcasing their collections. The 4 female models in these posters are shown without a bindi. They are using Hindu festivals to promote and sell their jewellery, but they are also disrespecting Hindu Dharma and culture by showing models without bindis which is an essential part of the Hindu culture.

The use of models without the traditional Hindu bindi has sparked outrage among the Hindu community. This has sparked massive outrage and has taken to social media to express their disappointment and anger towards the brand, with the hashtag #BoycottOrraJewellery trending on Twitter.

Several Hindu activists have also condemned the brand for disrespecting Hindu traditions and culture. They have accused the brand of using Hindu festivals to sell their products, while at the same time insulting the religious sentiments of the community.

Prior to this, PNG Jewellers during Gudi Padwa and Fab India during Diwali had faced huge rage from the internet for not using bindi in their advertisements.
