In a shocking development, Mumbai's St. Lawrence School allegedly suspended 6 Hindu students of class 10 from the school for chanting Jai Shri Ram in the washroom.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning (June 14). The news came to light after Bombay High Court Practicing Adv ASHUTOSH J. DUBEY broke the news on social media platforms.

As per the reports' 10 to 12 students chanted Jai Shri Ram in Washroom. When the teacher learned about the development they informed about the same to Principle. Following which principal of St. Lawrence expelled 6 students for chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' the 10th-class students.
 
 

The school is not ready to say anything about it, similarly, the students and parents are afraid to come forward and speak as it is the important year of class 10.
 
In a tweet, ASHUTOSH J. DUBEY asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis to take cognisance of the matter.
 
An earlier similar incident took place in Jharkhand where the principal of a missionary school suspended the entire class on chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans. A similar incident took place in April. On April 11, the school called the parents of all the students in class 10. They were informed that their children have been suspended for two days.
