In a shocking development, Kerala's Koyilandy police arrested a Malayalam filmmaker Jasik Ali under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO Act). As per the police complaint, Jasik Ali allegedly sexually assaulting a minor after promising her roles in films.

 

 

Jasik Ali, a native of Kuruvangad, Kozhikode was hiding at a house in Nadakkavu for the past few days. He was caught after an intensified search launched under the leadership of Circle Inspector of Koyilandy police station, MV Biju.The accued is currently in judicial custody.

 

It is worth to be noted that Jasik Ali is facing multiple charges, and a number of FIRs have been registered against him. The first was registered in November 2022, alleging the abduction of the minor girl.

 

 

 

Various reports have claimed that Ali abducted the minor and then took her to multiple places. He lured the girl by offering her roles in his film. He kept her in multiple houses, where he allegedly abused her sexually.Following the FIR, Ali was arrested, but soon released on bail. Later, the victim’s mother lodged another complaint against him, accusing him of threatening them.

One and a half months ago, Ali was taken into custody for the case registered by the victim’s mother. But again, he was released on bail. Later, the minor’s parents lodged a complaint alleging that Ali had sexually abused her. Subsequently, he went into hiding.He was caught after an intensified search launched under the leadership of the Circle Inspector of Koyilandy police station, MV Biju.
