Playing dirty politics for vote appeasement, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son, a staunch follower of Periyar and the intellectual face of Periyarism, Udhayanidhi Stalin as expectedly defended comparing Sanatan Dharma to ‘dengue’ and ‘malaria' saying, "Uprooting Sanatan Dharma is upholding humanity."

Udhayanidhi

What he said

Shamelessly defending his statement, Udhayanidhi, said "he did not call for genocide of those who follow Sanatan Dharma (Hindus) but called to eradicate Sanatan." Udhayanidhi Stalin wrote, “Sanatan Dharma is a principle that divides people in the name of caste and religion.”

“Let me reiterate the crucial aspect of my speech: I believe, like the spread of diseases like COVID-19, Dengue, and Malaria by mosquitoes, that Sanatan Dharma is responsible for many social evils, Uprooting Sanatan Dharma is upholding humanity and human equality…I spoke on behalf of the oppressed & marginalized, who suffer due to the Sanatan Dharma. I spoke on behalf of the oppressed & marginalized, who suffer due to the Sanatan Dharma,” he brazened it out.

Udhayanidhi said his party’s policy is “One Clan, One God,” which is essentially a proselytisation comment.

Udhayanidhi has said in the past that he is a “proud Christian”. Christianity, which is an Abrahamic religion, is strictly against the Polytheist religion, which is Hinduism. Being against Polytheist religion, the followers of Abrahamic religions often attempt to convert those who follow Polytheist religion as an attempt to put an end to it.

Earlier, Udhayanidhi claimed his statement was only about the caste system practised in Sanatan Dharma. It should be noted that not only the Udhayanidhi but the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam who are a staunch Anti-Hindu Party has always been notorious for their remarks against the Hindu God and Sanatan Dharma.

The Mother of Hipocrsy : Nastik Udhayanidh's Astik Mother

At one point 'Nastik Udhayanidh' passed remarks against the Sanatan Dharma, while on the other hand, his mother Durga Stalin is staunch Astik & cannot start her day before doing Puja. Shockingly she once showed her pooja room on national television.

Even last month, Udhayanidh's mother donated a ₹14 lakh gold crown at Guruvayur temple. She goes to the temple, wears tilak and no one criticises or stops her.

Congress

The Congress party, whose leader (Rahul Gandhi) earlier visited the temple and flaunted his Janeu to showcase his so-called love towards Hinduism. has come to the defence of the DMK Minister trying to buttress his arguments against Sanatana Dharma. Congress people go on national TV and say that Sanatan Dharma is worse than what has been said.

Son of Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram and Sivagangai MP, Karti Chidambaram said that in the common parlance of Tamil Nadu, Sanathana Dharma means “Caste Hierarchical Society”. He further went on to indirectly insinuate the Brahmin community saying “Why is that everyone who is batting for “SD” comes from the privileged segment who are beneficiaries of the “Hierarchy” There was no call for “Genocide” against anyone, this is a mischievous spin.“.

Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai said that this action of the DMK minister shows that it is an anti-Hindu party and they have hate for Hindus.“Udhayanidhi is there in politics because of his grandfather and because of his father Stalin, if he had come the hard way, seen real people, be a part of the struggle, he clearly knows what to speak and what not,” Annamalai added.

Moreover, Annamalai tore into the DMK leader over his statement, accusing him of peddling a "bought-out idea from Christian missionaries".

Legal Rights Observatory has instructed Sr lawyer Adv Umesh Sharma to issue notice to Chennai Police, to register an FIR against the minister Udhayanidhi as per SC guidelines on hate speech.

In the end, looking at controversy, the question that comes to mind is "Why one should tolerate remarks against Hinduism under the name of 'Secularism'? Why one cannot dare to speak against the other religion? Why does someone like 'Nupur Sharma' dare to speak the truth about another religion that is not acceptable to a certain part of the population?"
