In a disturbing incident unfolding in Thane, a Muslim family has converted a flat provided by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) into a small Madarsa, and were playing Azan through loudspeakers.

Reports indicate that the family was playing the Azan five times a day, disturbing the peace of the neighborhood.
 
The issue gained attention after a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms. Despite numerous requests from the local residents, the family continued their behavior unabated. Eventually, the matter was brought to the attention of the authorities when locals approached the police seeking intervention. The residents said that the azaan was being played at a high volume and was causing noise pollution.
 
 
 
Accompanied by local police, Avinash Jadhav and his associates visited the site. During a thorough inspection, police discovered the presence of a speaker.
 
Taking the conngnisance of the matter Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader swang into the action. Jadhav said that the MNS will not allow anyone to take the law into their hands. He said that the party will not tolerate any violation of the Supreme Court's order on noise pollution.
 
These guidelines state that loudspeakers should not be used between 10 pm and 6 am, and that the volume of the loudspeakers should be kept at a level that does not disturb others.
 
MNS Thane Palghar District President Avinash Jadhav has warned that the party will take action if the authorities do not take action to remove the loudspeakers.
 
"There are Supreme Court guidelines against the use of loudspeakers in mosques," Jadhav said. "Despite this, such incidents are happening. If the police do not take action, then we will give a befitting reply in the MNS style."
 
The MNS has been at the forefront of a campaign against the use of loudspeakers for azaan in Maharashtra.
