Trouble for Jarange & Pawar? SIT probe on political interference during Maratha Reservation Protests

The trouble for Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Patil as the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar has ordered an SIT probe over political links, funding and provocative statements during Maratha reservation agitation.

This decision came after BJP MLA Ashish Shelar demanded an investigation into the matter.
 
The issue of Maratha reservation remained heated in the assembly session on Tuesday. After Manoj Jarange's statement, it was seen that the ruling party and the opposition came face to face in the Assembly. The issue of the statement given by Manoj Jarange Patil, who has become the face of the demand for the Maratha reservation, was raised in the Assembly. This issue was raised by BJP MLA Ashish Shelar. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Ashish Shelar took an aggressive stance on Manoj Jarange's criticism and statement on Fadnavis.
 
 
 
Shelar has raised the question that we should find out who is plotting against Maharashtra. Answering the question, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar has ordered an SIT investigation into the matter.
 
Is Sharad Pawar funding Maratha quota protests?
 
Moreover, Pravin Darekar claimed that Jarange Patil, a prominent Maratha leader, received a call from a trusted person who was Sharad Pawar. He also alleged that Pawar was funding the protests. Darekar demanded that an FIR be registered against Jarange-Patil and a probe be conducted by the SIT. He also called for an ED probe into the financial transactions of the protests.
 
Following this Rahul Narvekar has ordered an SIT probe into Maratha reservation activist Jarange Patil's claims of receiving death threats from Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
 
What did Jarange Patil say about Fadnavis ?
 
On Sunday, Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange said he would march to Mumbai and protest outside the residence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who he accused of trying to kill him.
 
 
 
“Some attempts are underway to trap me and get me arrested. But I am going to foil all these attempts with the help of the Maratha community,” Jarange-Patil told reporters in Antarwali-Saraati village in Jalna district on Saturday. “Several people are working in the background to trap me. Some people in the name of the chief minister and the health ministry are working hard to get me trapped and arrested,” he alleged.
 
 
Protestors set the bus on fire
 
Maratha demonstrators had set fire to a state transport bus at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Tirthpuri city, Ambad taluka. As a result, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has stopped operating buses in Jalna until further notice and has lodged a police complaint. According to an MSRTC representative, bus ferrying in Jalna has been discontinued indefinitely. The Ambad Depot Manager of MSRTC has filed a police complaint at the local police station regarding the alleged torching of a bus by Maratha Agitators.
 
Police have registered a case
 
 
 
It should be noted, that Maharashtra Police registered a case against Maratha reservation activists under sections 341,143,145,149,188 of IPC. Manoj Jarange Patil allegedly instigated common people to block a road in Beed and due to this there was heavy traffic jam and people faced inconvenience. Police have also registered cases of traffic jams in 25 other places in Beed.
