Delhi: 4-year-old girl raped by tuition teacher's brother Mohd Arman in Pandav Nagar, accused arrested

New Delhi, Mar 25: In yet another horror being unfolded that has shocked the nation, a four-year-old girl was reportedly raped by the brother of her tuition teacher Mohammad Arman alias Appu in Pandav Nagar, East Delhi, sparking outrage and protests in the area. DCP (East) Apoorva Gupta said that after the complaint was received in the matter, a case under the POCSO (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences) Act was lodged and the accused was arrested.

On Saturday, around 4 pm, when the girl went to her teacher’s house, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her. Neither the tuition teacher nor other students were present at the spot at the time. He threatened the minor girl not to tell anybody about it. However, the victim informed her parents that she was bleeding and crying inconsolably.

Following this, the family registered a file against the tuition teacher's brother and was immediately arrested.
 
 

Outraged by the incident, family members of the victim along with numerous residents gathered outside the accused's residence, demanding stringent action against him. Security has been intensified in the area, with police and paramilitary forces deployed to maintain order and safety.

Meanwhile, the victim is sent to AIIMS and is accompanied by her mother and father. She is undergoing counselling, said police.

“Yesterday, the Mandawali Police Station received a complaint alleging that a 34-year-old male had sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl at her tuition location. The individual was taken into custody and we have filed a case. People congregated in the area when a rumour circulated that no action was taken in the matter, and we also learned about a few instances of vandalism. Police reached the spot and now the situation is peaceful. The girl is also safe,” informed Delhi Eastern Range’s Additional Commissioner of Police Sagar Singh Kalsi.


The police have said that the girl’s condition is stable, saying that rumurs are being spread that her situation is critical.
