"Convert to Islam or chop you into pieces": Radical Islamists threaten lone Hindu family in UP's Janpad Basti

Janpad Basti, Mar 28: In yet another distressing incident targeting Hindus perpetrated by radical Islamists, a lone Hindu family living in a predominantly Muslim area of Janpad Basti, Uttar Pradesh faced threats by local radical Islamists to convert to Islam. They threatened to chop them into pieces and grind if they refused to do it.

This incident came to light after a Hindu woman of the family went to buy groceries around 7 pm on March 26 when she was surrounded by around 30–35 Islamists living in the locality who harassed and threatened her.
 
"There is only one Hindu house here. You should also convert to Islam. Otherwise, we will chop you into pieces and grind you; your dead body will never be found. Convert to Islam now, or else, you will not be allowed to live in this locality. We will only permit Hindus to reside here if they accept Islam," they threatened.

When the woman protested, they started molesting her and hurled abuses at her. The frightened victim rushed home, but the Muslim mob chased her and started hurling stones and bricks at her home. The victim stated that the mob could do anything to her and her family members and hence demanded action against the culprits.

 

Basti Police Responds 


Responding to this the Basti Police said on social media platform X, "Taking cognizance of the matter, the police is investigating it and take strict against it".


There has been surge in crimes happening against Hindus by radical Islamists in several parts of India recently.
