In a huge development, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) formally announced its candidature to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and delivered a 'Brighter Future Together' for football in India and across Asia.
In yet another postponement of India's sporting event is the Indian football team’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying round game against Asian champions Qatar. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in consultation with FIFA, announced on Saturday the match is now rescheduled to October 8, 2020, as the continental body proposed new dates for the matches.
