For India, the criticality lies in the capacity of the Government to fully leverage the willing acceptance of the new dispensation by the people. The government also needs to take full use of the constituency of peace created by the security forces towards ushering an era of peace and prosperity in the region. It is to the credit of the Government that it has moved assertively in this direction.
Manan Bashir Wani, who chose to pursue the path of terrorism at the behest of enemies of the Nation, has been eliminated by the security forces within nine months of his joining the terrorist organisation, Hizbul Mujahedeen. The second terrorist to be killed with Wani was identified as Ashiq Hussain Zargar.
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijju, has stated in Parliament that there are reports of extremists groups in the country using children for “their nefarious designs to destabilize the state.” In support of his statement, he named the Maoists and more significantly two terrorist organizations operating in Jammu and Kashmir, the Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Hizbul Mujahideen.
