His remarks came after Jitendra Singh Bisen, the international president of the Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh, wrote a letter to Anjuman Intejamia proposing an out-of-court settlement in the Gyanvapi case.

A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking a direction to allow Hindus to perform religious practices or rituals at the 'Shivling' at the disputed Gyanvapi site, which is adjacent to the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
On May 20, the Supreme Court had transferred the Gyanvapi case from a civil judge (senior division) to a district judge, saying looking at the “complexities” and “sensitivity” of the issue, it is better if a senior judicial officer handles this case.
The court will be hearing the Gyanvapi case at 2.00 pm on May 24, today and the decision will probably be out by 4.00 pm same day. About the demand from the Muslim side, Yadav said, "The matter cannot be dismissed just like that, it will sustain. It is not a matter of property but of the Right to worship."
The bench further ordered that its interim order passed on May 17 in Gyanvapi case, to protect the area of the Shiv linga was found and access to Muslims for namaz, shall continue in operation till maintainability of the suit is decided and thereafter for eights weeks to enable parties to pursue legal remedies.
The video survey at Gyanvapi Masjid, as per the directions of Varanasi sessions court, resulted in the discovery of Shiv linga in the mosque well. The mosque is located within the Srirangapatna Fort, which was erected under the Vijayanagar Empire and afterward taken over by Tipu Sultan. He constructed the mosque near his palace. The mosque was constructed in the early 1780s and is now a historic monument managed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The court had earlier asked the commission to submit the report by Tuesday. “A petition has been filed seeking a two-day time to file the Commission report. The matter will be heard on Tuesday,” said Assistant Court Commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh.
"The survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque is being done according to the legal process after the court's order. The court has sought a report so that truth can come out and harmony can be maintained in both communities and the nation can know the truth about history."
