People’s vote vindicated our policy of reforms: Prime Minister

New Delhi, Dec 18: Election results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have vindicated our policy of reforms and development, asserted Prime Minister Narendra Modi while expressing his gratitude towards the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Addressing party workers at BJP HQ here Prime Minister Modi said that he bows to people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for electing the path of development. Ignoring the rumours over DeMo and GST, people have elected to march on the path of ‘Vikas’ endorsing the policies of the government.

Referring to elections in UP, local body elections in Maharashtra and UP and now results of assembly elections in Gujarat and HP, the Prime Minister said that these results proved that people have no faith in these rumours and thus they rejected them.

Commenting on efforts of the opposition to rake up the issue of caste Modi warned them to remain vigilant against these divisive politics of the opposition parties who have no faith in the politics of development.

He said that during the last 20 years the BJP had tried to erase this tension of caste but in the recent election some elements had tried to rake up these issues again. We must not allow them to succeed. Our aim is development of six crore Gujaratis. Gujarat must scale new heights of development and lead the country in the process of development.

He said that those opponents of the BJP tried every trick to defeat the BJP. ‘EK baar BJPko hara do’ was their ultimate motive, he said thanking people for thwarting their evil designs and voting for development.

Congratulating the people he said that this is not a simple victory. This is an extraordinary victory. This victory is victory for the nation. Our mantra is ‘Sab ka Saath- Sab ka Vikas’ for all the people of Gujarat. There should be no place for divisive politics, he said.

The Prime Minister appealed to the party workers to work for the nation and development to make India great nation. He gave the new slogan “Jitega Bhai Jitega- Vikas hi Jitega” to the crowd that cheerfully repeated them.
