
New Delhi, May 2: CBSE is one of the toughest syllabi of India. Today, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared result of class 12th board exam.
This year, the passing percentage was soared by 0.31% and stood at 83.4%.
Top 3 performing regions-
Thiruvananthapuram- 98.2%
Chennai- 92.93%
New Delhi- 91.87%
Hansika Shukla from Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from Muzzafarpur are joint national topper with 499 out of 500.
On this occasion, Chairperson of CBSE, Anita Karwal said, “I am happy to say girls have done better than boys by whopping 9%. 88.70% of girls and 79.4% of boys passed the exam”.
Out of 18 top performers in the country, 11 are girls.
In the specially abled category, 36 students received above 95%. Lavanya Balakrishanan from Gurgaon acquired a place of National topper.
Institute vice results-
Kendriya Vidhyalay acquired the highest passing percentage with 98.54% passing students. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya got the 2nd place with 96.62%.
