Islamabad, August 06: Soon after India criticized Pakistan and summoned Pakistan's top diplomat, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the incident and said that his government will restore the Temple.

He also assured that the Pakistan Govt would restore the temple, and informed that he has ordered the police to ensure the arrest of all culprits and take action against any negligence by police.
 
Taking Twitter the Pakistan PM said, "Strongly condemn attack on Ganesh Mandir in Bhung, RYK yesterday. I have already asked IG Punjab to ensure the arrest of all culprits and take action against any police negligence. The government will also restore the Mandir."
 
 
On Wednesday, a Violent mob attack a Ganesh Temple in Pakistan's Bhong city of Rahim Yar Khan district. They burnt down and idols desecrated.
 
 
 
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf parliamentarian Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani gave the information about the incident via social media. Condemning the attack on the temple in a series of tweets, Vankwani demanded arrests of the culprits. He also urged the Chief Justice to take immediate action.
 
Following the incident, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that India condemned the attack "expressing our grave concerns at this reprehensible incident and the continued attacks on the freedom of religion of the minority community and their places of religious worship".
 
 
Later, India also summoned Pakistan’s top diplomat, the Pakistani chargé d’affaires (C’dA), to voice a strong protest over the vandalism of a Hindu temple in Rahim Yar Khan’s Bhong City in Pakistan.
 
"We have seen disturbing reports on social media of a violent mob attack on a Ganesha temple in Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab province of Pakistan. The mob attacked the temple, desecrated the holy idols, and set fire to the premises. In addition to attacking the temple, the mob has also attacked surrounding houses belonging to the Hindu community," he said.
 
 
 India has, on several occasions, raised concerns over the attacks on minorities and non-Islamic religious structures in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). In 2020, various temples, including Mata Rani Bhatiyani Mandir in Sindh, Gurudwara Sri Janam Sthan, a Hindu temple in Karak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were attacked by vandals in Pakistan. India has often accused the Pakistani government of failing to prevent such attacks.
