RSS Chief, Media and Narrative

When "someone" has a selfish motive or a greedy mindset, society and country are never top priorities; they want big money and name fame even if it means destroying social fabric and nation. This is exactly what they are doing to the RSS and many other organizations that work tirelessly for the welfare of the nation, the world, and the environment.

If we look closely, we can see a race among many communists, urban naxals, religious conversion elements and media to portray RSS as anti-social, pro-Hindu, anti-Hindu, anti-Muslim, anti-Women, and pro- idea of Bharat. When RSS SarSanghchalak speaks on any occasion, these people are waiting to set up a fake narrative by systematic and manipulative means using a specific sentence to suit their agenda in order to create anger among the masses, strengthen their idea of a caste-based divided society so that Hindus are never united, and create a fake religion-based narrative on international platforms in order to malign the image of our nation and cause economic damage.

Fake narrative about RSS Chief

When someone has a selfish motive or a greedy mindset, society and country are never top priorities; they want big money and name fame even if it means destroying social fabric and nation. This is exactly what they are doing to the RSS and many other organizations that work tirelessly for the welfare of the nation, the world, and the environment. Criticism, detailed analysis, opinions, and suggestions are necessary for a democracy to function in the best possible and rational way to make the nation great; however, if the agenda is destructive and to support our society's and nation's enemies, citizens must be more alert and aware, and respond to such false narratives with factual and appropriate material.

The most recent example of caste division is when SarSanghchalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat spoke about the importance of social equanimity at a book launch event. He stated that forefathers in all religions made mistakes that we must correct in order to achieve social harmony. He never mentioned any particular caste, but a few media outlets twisted the facts and used SarSanghchalak's name to attack one particular caste.

Rather than fabricating a narrative from a person who leads the world's largest organisation and has established numerous organisations to assist various sectors, it is preferable and appropriate to use his speech for rational and positive debates so that government and other agencies are aware of the issue and work in the right direction.

The media should take up the points from his speech and organize debates, print articles, and create awareness centred on the "Nation First" principle.

Important points from Vijayadashmi's speech in 2022

Population Control Bill

One of the things he mentions in his Vijayadashmi 2022 speech is the population control bill. Isn't it better to study what happened in the past when demography changed, rather than looking for bad intentions? Why has our country lost so much territory? When will the media and intellectuals study this aspect of naxalism, which only grows in areas with a high conversion rate?

Meaning of Hindu and purpose of Hindutva

Our heritage is the fabric that holds our society together, the chorus that rises in our hearts in praise of the glory of our forefathers and our pure devotion to our motherland. This connotation is expressed by the word "Hindu." We can all wear the uniqueness of our underlying Sanatana oneness as our jewel and uplift our entire country if we are absorbed in these three elements. This is something we must do. This is the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's mission."

Defamation of India

According to SarSanghchalak, there are forces that want to divide Hindus and cause disruptions in the country based on caste and religion.

"Our path from swadheenta (self-rule) to swatantrata (independence) is far from over... We began fighting amongst ourselves on the basis of caste and religion. The pain of Partition has not yet subsided, but we must not repeat the division that caused Partition. "There is a conspiracy by internal and external forces to defame India," he said, adding that technology is being used to create anarchy in India.

International forces that do not want Bharat to be great again are using a few media outlets, non-governmental organisations, and well-known individuals to create negative issues, social unrest, and further division into several countries in order to weaken the country.

RSS and Minority Communities

He also claimed that the country's minority communities were being deliberately misled into believing RSS was dangerous. The Central Government recently banned the extremist terrorist organisation Popular Front of India (PFI), which aimed to turn India into an Islamic Republic by 2047 by causing a schism between the RSS and India's minority communities. The PFI had a strategy in place to portray the RSS as a "casteist" organisation and to form close alliances with the SC/ST/OBC community. This would make it easier for PFI to achieve their goal.

RSS Chief, on the other hand, stated that the RSS has always respected people from minority communities. "Some are scaring people into believing that minorities are in danger because of us." This is not the nature of the Sangh or Hindus. Sangh has resolved to support brotherhood, amity, and peace. Everyone should have access to a temple, water, and cremation grounds. "We should not fight over trivial matters," he said.

Women empowerment

He emphasised the importance of putting equal emphasis on women's empowerment. "In 2017, women activists from various organisations conducted a broad-based and comprehensive survey on the status of Indian women. The survey's findings were also presented to government officials. The survey findings emphasised the importance of progress, empowerment, and equal participation. Dissemination and acceptance of these conclusive findings require work, beginning with families and progressing through all layers of organisational life; only then can society, along with its Matri Shakti, successfully deliver its role as an organised force in national resurgence," he noted.

He also raised concerns about OTT platforms, Bitcoin, and the Taliban. These issues must also be addressed in depth by the media because they pose threats to our culture, economy, and national security.

The Role of the Media in Nation Building

Many people, and the support they receive from the media, are assisting many individuals and organisations in society who do not believe in social harmony and wish to destroy the great Bharatiya culture.

Fake news is inexpensive to produce. Genuine journalism is costly. The primary function of journalism is to discover important new information in the public interest and to contextualise that information so that we can use it to improve the human condition. Not only do media companies have a civic responsibility to prevent fraud and financial abuse, but they also have a responsibility not to corrupt or degrade our culture.

The media can be used as a weapon to combat all of the social ills that impede our nation's progress. It can be extremely beneficial in fostering mass unity. The media has the ability to criticise and pressure the government for wrongdoings and bad policies. Not only does it inform, educate, and entertain people, but it also shapes public opinion. It primarily strives for the betterment of society as a whole. Our nation will remain hampered unless the media plays an active and positive role towards building society and nation however current situation is pathetic.

The general public must be wary of the various narratives that have been created; reacting to each narrative without understanding and analysis paralyses the system, society, and nation. Every narrative should have the motto "Unity and Nation First."
