The New Year means travelling for many of us but travelling also means a hurdle in your fitness routine. Instead of delaying or taking a break in your fitness routine you can actually maintain it and travel as well. So travel without compromising your health regimen. But how? Let's see-

Nutrition while Travelling New Year

The first and most important thing is to be open to different hacks to remain fit. When you are travelling you won't always get gyms, diet food and all that, so tweaking and bending your fitness regimen to suit your travel is necessary. And many of us think it is complicated and completely take a break from a healthy routine just to sweat extra, gain extra and lose extra health after coming back.

These are some tips to do that:

1. Consider the climate of the place you are travelling to - very very important. Your fitness schedule depends on climate and weather as well. So according to the place you are travelling to get your nutrition and workout plan.

2. Hydrate: Due to fear of using/ finding a loo during travels many don't hydrate well. But this is the biggest mistake. Instead of drinking plain water try drinking electrolytes also one can have juicy fruits, cucumbers, tomatoes etc. It will keep one hydrated without making them run for the loo often.

3. Snacking: Too much travelling = snacking, but control this because over-munching = ruining your liver health for the rest of the trip. Basically snacking while travelling is a psychological thing. Keep yourself engaged in chatting/music. Also keep nuts, dry fruits, and fruits as snacks instead of chips and like.

4. Eating local: The cuisine of the place is largely based on its weather so it suits you normally. Try eating local vegetables and fruits. Many places have local baked delicacies so have them in limit. When you are not sure if the food will suit you stick to basic food like Dal, rice, soups etc. Avoid trying foods other than local.

5. Supplements: Do not forget to carry your routine supplements. If you are not taking any then consult a nutritionist before the travel. Usually carrying some basic vitamin C , E, and protein supplements can be beneficial during travels.
