Mumbai, July 30: A woman has made serious allegations against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut as she filed a complaint against him at Vakola police station, Mumbai, and has been accused him of threatening her with rape and murder. She allegedly handed over to the police, a 17-second audio clip, in which we can hear the man use make of abusive language.
ED has recorded her statement in the same after her receiving the threat letter. Sujit patkar and his wife Swapna Patkar, both are recording their statement in Patra Chawl Case. Sanjay Raut was summoned earlier by ED and has recorded his statement.
Swapna Patkar owns four plots in Alibaug, which are under the scanner of ED along with the properties registered in name of Raut's wife.
The woman claims that she had given a statement before the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case. The threat case is also related to the same Patra Chawl land scam. She has also handed over a 17-second audio clip to the police in which a man can be heard abusing 27 times.
"Record this call and send to police, do whatever you want. Wait and watch. Transfer the property in either Sujit or my name", said a male voice. Notably, Raut was summoned by the ED in the Rs. 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam case on July 27. However, he did not appear before the central probe agency.
The woman has claimed that the male voice heard in the audio is Sanjay Raut. The victim told that she was threatened through calls and papers. There are speculations of the female voice allegedly belonging to Swapna Patkar.
Swapna Patkar is the estranged wife of Sujit Patkar, who is a close aide and business associate of Raut. During an exclusive conversation she revealed how her ex-husband who is in Raut's side has made no communication with her.
A threat letter has also been sent to Swapna Patkar. In the letter it's written that she will be raped if she reveals anything before ED . The letter further states that she should tell media that she did all this on BJP leader Kirit Somaiya's instructions.
