UN's disregard of Hindu hatred in Bangladesh! UN Human Rights Chief to visit Dhaka to look into the Rohingya issue
With a full packed schedule during her visit, the UN Human Rights Chief seems to have completely ignored the recent serious and tragic incidents of Hindu hatred, since the office doesn"t even bother to mention the issue to be on the agenda of the Chief"s visit to Bangladesh.

Brussels, Aug 13: UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet will conduct an official visit to Bangladesh on 14 August, upon the invitation of the govt, the UN Office of the high commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said on Friday (Aug 12). The OHCHR said in a statement that this is the first official visit by a UN Human Rights Chief to the country.
During her visit to Dhaka, the High Commissioner is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed and other Ministers. She will also meet with the National Human Rights Commission, representatives of civil society organizations and other stakeholders. In addition, Bachelet will deliver a speech at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. In fact, the UN Human Rights Chief has prioritized Rohingya on her priority list. The High Commissioner will travel to Cox's Bazar where she will visit camps housing Rohingya refugees from Myanmar and meet with refugees, officials and non-governmental organizations. This comes a few days after the Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Bachelet should publicly call for an immediate end to serious abuses including extrajudicial killings, torture, and enforced disappearances during her upcoming visit to Bangladesh, nine human rights organizations said today.

HRW said, "If the high commissioner fails to clearly condemn these abuses and seek reform, the ruling Awami League could use her silence to legitimize its abuses and undermine activists,." Hindu life in Bangladesh has been no less than an imprisonment or even worse, living in a concentration camp since almost a decade, with religious atrocities only getting more and more severe and traumatic in nature. The recent incidents of violence against Hindus of Bangladesh have shook the spine of individuals aware of the incidents. However, the UN Human Rights Chief fails to even address them in her agenda.
